Set up MFA and Phone sign-in

Verify that you’ve registered for multifactor authentication by visiting https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo. 

  1. Verify that you’ve registered for multifactor authentication by visiting https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo
  1. Select Add sign-in method
  1. Select Authenticator app from the drop-down menu, then select Add

  1. Download the Authenticator app, then select Next
    • Download and install the Microsoft Authenticator app:  
      • Visit the Apple app store or Google play store on your device and install the Microsoft Authenticator app. Alternatively, visit aka.ms/authapp and download the Microsoft Authenticator app
  2. On your phone, allow notifications (if prompted), then select Add account

  1. Select Work or school account
  1. Select Scan QR code
  1. On your computer, select Next
  1. With your phone, scan the QR code displayed on your computer, then select Next
  1. Microsoft Authenticator is now available as a sign-in method. When prompted with the screen below, select Continue
  1. Select Finish

Congratulations! You’re now set up to log in with your phone. 

What will signing in Look like? 

When signing in, you will get a notification on your phone to enter the number you see on your screen. It will look like this:
